As an FSC-licensed management company, we assist with Global Business Companies, Authorised Companies and domestic companies. The starting point is your proposed activity, where the business will operate, and where its owners and management are based.

Choosing a Mauritius company structure

• Global Business Company (GBC/GBL): a GBC holds a Global Business Licence (GBL) issued by the Financial Services Commission. It is managed and controlled from Mauritius and must meet the relevant substance requirements. It may suit eligible international business and investment activities. Financial services can require additional licences.
• Authorised Company (AC): an option for eligible business conducted outside Mauritius, with central management and control outside Mauritius. An AC must have a registered agent in Mauritius and is different from a GBC. We can explain the requirements for your proposed activity.
• Mauritius domestic company: generally used where the main business operations are in Mauritius. Incorporation, resident-director requirements and any activity-specific permits need to be considered together when planning your business.

The appropriate structure depends on how the business will actually operate. Tax residence, any available exemptions and treaty eligibility need to be assessed for the company and its owners, with specialist tax advice where required.

Corporate administration after incorporation

Our agreed services can include company secretarial work, maintenance of corporate records, preparation of resolutions and statutory filings, and coordination of accounting and reporting. We can discuss accounting services, bank-account application assistance, trust services and fund establishment and administration as part of the support you need. Banking acceptance remains the bank's decision.
